Is there a way to list Giving work auctions in Vendio?

I am looking to do the same thing.. for the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.... as far as I can tell... we may have to do this after we launch our auctions thru ebay. I 've been researching here all morning and find nothing. Vendio..is there a way?

Not that it means anything, but you have to give your info to the third party charity (from what it looks to me.) So they must have to do something to incorporate that function into the auction as well. Dont really know if thats the case, but I backed out of it because I just dont feel like having my name/info show up on all their lists from it.

I decided I will just bid and buy from somebody else doing it and make my donation that way. ::shrug::

I doubt that there is. Ebay hasn't even figured a way to list in Turbolister. The thing that concerns me about the program is the addition of ANOTHER tier of administration (Mission Fish) leaving less for the charity itself. The funds are distributed quarterly which means New Orleans (and I don't think you can stipulate funds must be used for New Orleans) won't see the money right away. Also the minimum is $10.

Correct!... missionfish gets some money out of the donations also... well that blows that idea.

I just found a super easy way to donate through paypal. They have a link right on their homepage. .. that reads "Katrina Donations".

This is probably easier than driving accross town to the Red Cross, or putting up auctions through Giving Works. Do you think PayPal will REALLY AND TRULY make sure my donation goes to the fund? Do I trust paypal?????? Would you?

debs, there's a zillion ways to donate now. I think you have to be careful and check them out. But if PP handles your money everyday and you trust them?

I was thinking about one of the local TV stations that set something up through their website seemed trustworthy (dont know why) but you might want to check out that option, too in your area.
