We are trying to ID two vases. They have no makers mark and I am having a hard time coming up with any search terms to help.

Both are marked USA. The blue vase is is 7" tall & 10" wide and marked with the number 810. The yellow is 7 1/2" tall & 5" wide

Something strange is happening with this post. I typed the copy and submitted it and it cut off everything after the first two lines. I hit edit and reentered 3 times and each time it cut off at a different point. If this does not work I will try tomorrow!

Well that did not work either! Drat! Never had this problem before. Maybe I will try the links only.

I suspect they are both Shawnee.

Thanks Max, I'll try running some searches for Shawnee.

If not Shawnee, perhaps McCoy pieces?

If McCoy would they be more likely to be marked as such?

Usually, but not always, I've also seen the USA mark on many different pieces, including McCoy. Does it have anything on the bottom?

Caroline,

It just has USA and the numbers I mention. I don't have a picture of the base and my sister has the vases so I can't post one. I found the site below that showed a range of "USA" marks and mentions small differences in the way the letters are drawn to identify different brands. I am not sure how accurate it is.
