Jeez, I googled some old tabberone VERO lawsuit links, and HERE is a site that pays for his ad to appear prominently in 'google' if you typed in 'vero information' ...
Can't believe this guy charges $17 for people to learn how to be a cheat. He teaches how to get a new ebay ID if you have been suspended, teaches you how to shill bid and not get caught ... etc.

Oh, and I did a whois check, this person also paid extra to have all his registration information private! Most legit people selling legit items leave the info public, but this person obviously knows it's wrong and doesn't anyone to know who or where he/she is.

That site is still down, hopefully for good (although I would have liked to see it just for curiosity). If you're still seeing the site, it's because you saw it before and it's probably in your computer's, or even your ISP's cache.

Nope -- it's still there. You might want to refresh your cache and make sure the URL is correct in your address bar.

Either they've got very unreliable hosting (not likely the case, I see it's with godaddy which is very good), or the site has been taken down. Just tried looking at that site in a different browser (in Opera, I usally use Firefox), and the site is still not coming up.

Oh, got it finally! Going to try and look through the site before it goes down again. (not that I need his dirty tricks, seriously I don't, just want to see what it's all about)

powerweb,
most people i know who own domains make their info private...this normally has nothing to do with having anything to "hide" in a negative way. if you register a domain and don't use the "make private" option, all of your contact info is out there on the internet for any salesperson to grab and call you. junk mail also increases. it's inexpensive and worth every penny to make domain owner info private and not available through "whois" queries.

That's a good point. I have close to 30 domains, and just now started making some of them private. It usally cost $8.95 per domain to make them private. I only did it because godaddy had a special, for $1.99.
My thoughts were people might think I'm hiding something if I make it private, especially when I'm selling something, and my contact info is on the website as well. Of all the domains I have, I get very few spammers and only a couple of phone calls.
But, making it private is also good for someone doing shady deals like this guy is doing. However, I totally understand your point.
