i want to put a simple clickable html link in one of my custom store pages. i always have an awful time with html and have spent more time than i'm willing to admit to, trying to figure this out on my own tonight.

fenix, toasted and TOMWiii,
thank you for the mercy killing, it worked
question: do any of you want a very temporary job proofreading html? guess whose html it is? if so, you can get my contact info from my web page.
here's the overall picture...it's not a pretty one. i was within one week of finishing some web page work and my webmaster is now out of commission with newly discovered heart disease. in fact, he's been so quiet this week that i just went and read the obituaries to doublecheck his status. (i know, i'm awful!)
i need to find someone who is not quite so clueless as me, to review the html. maybe do a little tweaking. optimizing. would PayPal you for the work.
also, has anyone else run into this sort of situation with a webmaster? his server hosts my web page too, shudder. his wife and children are running the show right now. hopefully, he'll return to work in a few weeks, but this is all making me think of moving my page to somewhere like network solutions...where everything is not dependent on one person. any thoughts on good reliable web hosting/servers?

Vintage - paste your html into word document and send it to [email protected]. I'll be gone most of the day but when I get back I'll help you out. I'll run it thru GoLive for you. No charge of course - the program does all the work.
Re: Your webmaster...webmasters come and go. (As a former one myself - It''s very easy to get burned out). A responsible one will make sure that you have all of the FTP log in information for your site and all current info regarding it. (I used to send my clients a disk with all of their site info and files whenever there was a update - or once a month for ones that did regular updates) As long as you have that information you should be OK as long as your hosting is active. Make sure though that you also have the registration information on your domain name so that if needed you can go in and set the redirect if you ever do decide to change hosts.
