I've had two whopping (yes count'em, 2) sales in the past 2 days and neither one I've gotten my Paypal email from.
I know I got the payment because I checked PayPal to see.

I've seen a few other posts about missing Paypal notices. I don't use them, I usually either check my Paypal account directly or I use Ebay's Seller Manager that will mark the item as paid & ready to ship.
I use a backup system as well, since there were also cases of people missing items from the Ebay completed auctions in My Ebay.
My backup system is simple - the item is staged ready for shipping and if it sits there too long I look in to it.
May not work for you though since you do mostly BIN and store items.

same here Helga, very spotty PP e'mails when customers pay me. my packing elf (my husband) catches that stuff when he looks in the "sold" view for my stuff at eBay.

Well at least it's not me. I'm finding them because I'm looking in my eBay and in PayPal.
My sales suck so bad right now I keep checking to make sure I'm not missing end of transaction emails ;o) That's how I'm finding the very very few payments I'm getting.
