I'm scratching my head wondering about this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Triumph-TR-6-FRAUD-1974-Triumph-TR6-Convertible-Must-Sell_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80757QQitemZ4584400299QQrdZ1

Maybe I'll "Ask the seller a question".

Very strange - I wondered if his account was hijacked?

It sure is strange, it says that the high bidder is private, but it also says 0 bids.

I would suspect someone got the seller's password and altered his description and title. I can't imagine someone spending $40.00 to post an auction like that.

Whatever it is, he hasn't responded to my query.

... AND, it's one less Triumph TR-6 competing against my auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4584453934&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT;

Is that your car Claude, or is that a consignment? It's really nice! I had a TR-7 years ago - I loved it, except it always had problems starting in the rain. Which makes no sense since I think these cars are English aren't they?

It's a consignment, at least until my wife sees it

She has wanted another sports car since I ruined her life. When she and I started our relationship, she had an apartment in NY and one in London, an MR-7 in London, was flying the Concorde back and forth, and running in a few marathons every year... now she lives in the suburbs, has a minivan, and no longer runs. TA DA! Another good woman ruined by love! I must be the devil

Claude

PS For what it's worth, since it is two lovely children that changed her lifestyle, she's actually very happy.
