Just woundering if anyone else has had lot's of new 0-5 feedback buyers recently. Seems that I have been overrun with them. No problems so far and within the last week or two those that have won have paid but it does seem like there has been a influx of "fresh meat". Been great for business as long as they keep paying. I was just woundering if anyone else has seen this flow of new buyers. I mainly sell used car/truck/tractor parts, manuals, equipment and tools so I'm not selling new merchandise very often.

Mike out of my 167 auctions from the 10 cent day I had 4 brand newbies. They all paid and 2 posted + feedback for me right after they paid! I hope your right and there is a large group of fresh new buyers to ebay-land. Hope they stick around for next falls dog days.....

I love newbies, treat 'em right and make lifelong eBayers out of them. All the ones I got on the 10 cent day have been just great. Keeping fingers crossed that this is a nice new trend of new people!

Well I just had a bunch of auctions end and already I'm having some of the newer buyers as repeat buyers. But the Canadian buyers were hammering away today. Almost like the Canadian flood gates opened up or something. Most of the Canadian's that bid today won. So far this year thing's are looking up, hope the trend continues.

Every season/year/advertising campaign seems to bring in a batch of newby buyers. I take them all, the more the merrier. They almost always pay (there's bound to a loser or three in any batch anyways), they can spark fresh bids, competitive bids amongst each other, sometimes leading to a price war. Course if one doesn't pay they get UPI'd/negged like anyone else.

Christmas always brings out the newbies. I can also see it in the larger number of checks I receive in payment v. Paypal.
Your observation about Canadians was interesting. I have also seen our friends to the north coming out in large numbers. Maybe the weather keeps them inside and they do ebay to pass the time.
