I love Want it Now ads. Some of them are such classic examples of the mentality of peopple today... things like - Wanted: LKuis Vuitton bag - must be atuthentic - $75 or less please.

Found this one this morning...

Looking for sterling scrap or jewelry that needs to be repaired. Buy it now only. I do not have time to bid.

Apparently when she says she wants it now... she wants it NOW!!

Well, if she's willing to pay a premium for impatience, I've got a ton of the stuff.

Oh, let me guess: She wants it for less than the going rate for scrap!

Speaking of scrap jewelry -- My mom has been inheriting silver and gold for decades. She sometimes has it melted down and remade into something she likes. I was looking through a box that was going to be consigned to the flames and saw a ring with a crest on it that said "Packard Master Salesman." It had been given to a relative in the 30's who sold Packards. Worth probably $1000. Makes me sick to think of what else she has melted over the years. Ohhh, pass the Pepto.

Okay, I went to go look at Want It Now.

It should be called I Want It Now But I Don't Want It Enough to Pay a Decent Price.

The Wanter who posted about sterling scrap jewelry could be wanting to commit a spot of fraud.

It's simple, everyone can play: 1. Buy scrap with PayPal. 2. Remove half the scrap. 3. File a PayPal Not As Described claim. 4. Get your money back.

I'm not the only scrap seller who no longer accepts PayPal.

Fluff - you are actually the reason that I checked that add. I was checking my catagory and saw that in the general ads.

I love the ones where they want the top of the line products in a line but want to pay less that the wholesale cost of the bottom of the line products.
