blueyes29	posted on January 21, 2006 10:33:02 PM Two questions actually...Does pressed glass have a "seam"? Does anyone recognize this pattern? It's a vase with grapes and leafs but I couldn't find it in my reference book. It is unmarked. Thanks for any help.
LtRay	posted on January 21, 2006 11:21:09 PM Hi blueyes. Thats an interesting piece. Does pressed glass have a "seam"? yes. Many olderer pieces will have 3 seams. Most newer pieces will have 4. Does anyone recognize this pattern? No. I am curious though. This looks like it might have 3 seams. Can you tell if the upper lip has been applied? The way to do that is look at the mold lines on the body of the piece. Do they extend up thru the lip? Does the lip have mold lines?

blueyes29	posted on January 22, 2006 02:03:50 PM Thanks all...Lt.Ray...the vase does have 3 seams...they do NOT go all the way through the rim so I'm assuming the rim was applied. I've tried, in the past, asking questions on the eBay boards but have found those boards to be less than helpful. Folks here tend to be more knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for the help...still hoping someone can recognize this lovely pattern and its maker.
