Hi,
I have been using the SALES MANAGER VARIABLE POWER plan...would the ANNUAL PLAN be better for me? I have the IMAGE hosting at 10,240 MB...which is almost full. So I get charged $49.95/mnth.

Best thing to do is grab a pen, paper and a calculator. Figure out what your average monthly Vendio bill is or what the total is for the last year and compare that with the cost of the Annual Plan. It may be cheaper it might not. It all depends on your monthly total's. Currently if you are on the variable power plan you are charged no fee for listing and 1.25% FVF. The Annual Plan on the other hand is a .06 cent listing fee and no FVF. The VP plan is good for lower price items that sell under $5.00. If the majority of your items sell for over $5.00 the annual plan may be better. The $5.00 line is about where the 1.25% FVF cost you 6 cents. So if you are listing items that normally sell for over $5.00 the Annual plan is better because it has only the 6 cent listing fee and NO FVF. Hope your not more confused now than you were before

THANKS MIKE! Vendio is only charging me $49.95/mnth, I guess because of the amount of photos. So that works out to be $600/yr. The annual plan is what...$250..so that would give me about 5800 listings at .06 a piece. I don't use the POST AUCTION features...I just want to make sure that SUPERSIZE photos, multiple photos/auction, etc. are still part of the annual plan.
It seems they charge which ever is higher...your IMAGE HOSTING PLAN or your listing/sales plan. I am signed up for the $29.95 + the 1.25% final fee. So if I do less than $1600 in sales a month, they charge the $49.95. I want to make sure that if I sign up for the annual, that I am NOT charged for BOTH the ANNUAL & IMAGE plans.

rh- I use the same plan you do. Why so many images stored with sales of less than 1600/mo? I basically have not deleted any images since 2003, run thousands of auctions/month and have 6000 items in my store. I have only used 2,962 MB of my allowed 10,000 MB image storage. Can you delete some images to keep your plan or anotger plan in a range in line with your sales?

neglus....thank you....I am going through photos now..BOY..ALOT are being deleted...hope to get below that 500mb level. I think the biggest problem is that I may have the images too large (most are around 100KB), what is a GOOD size...(60-70kb) or less?

For the sake of the half of the country still on dialup, I try to keep photos to 50k or less, with an occasional one at 80-90.

Any good jpg encoder can get a relatively high-quality image at, say, 600 x 400, in less than 50k. Extremely detailed and varied content will be a problem, which is why I sometimes go over, but that must be less than 1% of the time.

PS I just checked, and my average is 37.6k per image. For the most part, my photos look okay when clicked on, so I don't think it's a problem to compress them that far.

The Annual Plan is $250 + .06 per auction . The $250 is charged at start of plan then each month you are billed .06 for each auction that month. You have about 55 MB storage with that plan before you would be charged anything for photo hosting.
