Hey There-
I was wondering if anyone has an answer to the following question?
I just completed the final "Phase", in establishing a LLC, or Limited Liability Company, with the Secretary of State.
My quetion is do I still need to get by local business license, or State license to do business online? If anyone has an answer, or answer(s) to this question your input would be greatly appreciated!

Becoming an LLC doesn't preclude licensing.
An LLC is simply a form of business organization, just like a corporation, or sole proprietor, and it has advantages for liability.
It's a bit like saying, well, I've incorporated now, so do I need any licenses to start an airline?
The above assumes that your state has licensing requirements. They all differ, but most don't require one.

Just answered my own question got this off of of my states website
all businesses doing busines must obtain a State Business License as approved by the 20th Special Session of Legislature, per NRS 360.780. Exceptions include small sole proprietors working out of their home and netting less than $22,000 a year, landlords renting 4 or fewer dwellings units, the movie industry, and non-profit organizations.

When forming an LLC in the USA you probably want to shop around for the best State as some are tax-free or offer tax incentives if you structure your LLC correctly. I remember when we approached our tax accountant years ago about setting up a US subsidiary he suggested certain States were better than others. Think I still have the report here somewhere...

Agitprop os right. All states have different parameters on how an LLC can operate and what the costs are. One of the advantages of incorporating is being able to do it in another state that does not have all of the fees and the taxes. SOme states you need to have a presence others you do not. I would never set up a corporation with out the advice of a knowledgable attorney. You could end up digging a big hole for your self.
