Hello.

I am just starting out and I am trying to get my auction management in order. I like many of the features that Vendio offers, but I have one question. How do you (cosignees/TA's) keep track of your incoming products and customers? Is there a place here on Vendio or do you use another program? Is it excel or something else?

Ok, that was more than one question

Any info. is appreciated. I would love to chat it up with someone who has experience in this area.

Thank You.

Jennifer,

I personally use Excel with quite a few VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) macros. It works pretty well for me.

I surveyed the commercial software available, and most of it is expensive/crummy, although some are inexpensive/crummy Most of them are touted as flexible, but I don't think that they are. I much prefer having software that works for my business, the way that I do business.

Most of the system is automatic, except that new listings have to be linked to the consignor semi-manually (I have to paste the auction number in a cell next to the inventory item.

Good luck!

"Cosigning and TA questions"

the only reason this got my attention was, I thought it read "Cosigning and T&A questions"

Hi ... you said 'cosigning' but i "think" you meant 'consignment', right?

If so, sit back and wait till Claude of cashinyourcloset posts to your question ... i'm sure he can help you.

Estate,

I did post, but it's a big question and I gave a small answer.

Seasons, you might want to look at the eBay TA forum, as they have lots of discussion of similar things. I don't personally agree with much that is written there, at least about software, but you should spend some time there.
