SSL = Secure Socket Layer -- a term used in describing the transfer of sensitive information (such as credit card data).
What are you looking to use Verisign for?

HI, I use authorize.net and I found a computer programmer that created to some big sellers on e bay an SSL secured payment page collection that I use and WORKS LIKE A CHARM RESOLVED ALL MY MANUAL CREDIT PROCESSING FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS.
Her how it works when somebody e mail me asking me to pay with CREDIT CARD NOT PAY PAL I send them the SSL SECURED PAGE THEN THEY HAVE TO LOG IN USING THERE E MAIL ADDRESS THEY LOG IN HTTPS FULLY SECURED SITE THEN ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS FILL IN THE BLANKS IN THE PAGE AND SEND THAT PAGE BACK TO ME,
Once I get the page back from theme I log in with my password and all I have to do after that is just copy and paste all the information that they send me into my virtual terminal that i use with authorize.net and I complete the transition thats how I been collecting My own credit Card .
If you interred In this person phone number E MAIL ME BACK at [email protected]
I need to know your user name .
Thank you.
Mike.

I checked into it a bit and I guess I'll wait awhile on this or any other service. Maybe when I set up my own web site. Too much expense at this time
Thanks

I guess I feel too dependent on Paypal and was hoping for an alternative, but I don't know if there really is one.
