I sold another make of labelmaker about two months ago, used, and had good bids on it. It sold for about $30 to someone in another country.
It's odd--seeing things I've passed up at yard sales sell well to foreigners. A purifying shower head, standard issue, very common, new in shrinkwrap display, had inquiries from several foreign countries and finally sold to Australia for much more than it was worth new, here. Sure opened my eyes, yard-sale-wise! Both of these items I've mentioned were sold for the survivalist I talked about a while back, Brit who bought into the Y2K scare and spent thousands of dollars on all sorts of stuff. I didn't want to sell the shower head, thinking it wasn't worth the trouble. . . . but I was wrong.

Any bids yet Tom.
Roadsmith - I am a yard sale junky but I pass up items all the time. Then I try to remember to do a little research just to see what I could have made on that widget - I have been shocked more than once. It really help to know your market.

Yes, you'll often find that easy to find items in one country are really hard to find (and thus valuable) in another. It's how traders have been making money (sometimes hand over fist) for centuries. Which is why those who constrict themselves to a particular market may be shooting themselves in the foot financially speaking.
FYI since we are in far off New Zealand - all our sales (100%) are to foreigners (or as we like to call them "customers"...
