I still don't have a clue as to what he is asking. Is the card loaded with images that you can't download to your computer, or are the images corrupted after you download and try to view them? Of course, if Classic was involved, then the card and images both are likely corrupted, along with the owner as well

Your card is fine. Your camera thinks it needs to be formatted and won't read the pix correctly when you try to download using your usb cable and factory supplied software. Ger a third party card reader (Sandisk), install it with it's own software. Take the card out of the camera and put it in the cardreader and download it that way. When you get the pictures download, use the function to erase them from the card. Put the card back in the camera, format it, and you are ready to go until the next time it happens.
