I need an alternative as mapquest is really messed up (for me anyway) and I need to map some garage sales for in the morning.
Thanks

Microsoft Streets and Trips, Yahoo maps, Google maps to name a few.

Do like I do. Just look at your city map and memorize it. No need to have to shuffle through a pile of google maps to find your way around your own city. Uhhhh...Bye the way, you don't drive an ambulance for a living, do you?

I always use Yahoo maps. When we go to yard sales in cities we don't know, we just type in the exact address, and the location of the house comes right up. It save a lot of running round trying to find houses on streets that are split up, and start and end in different places.

Since we started using a GPS system in our vehicle (Pacifica) 2 years ago I don't think I could go back to paper maps again.
It's gotten me to placed 1500 miles away without an error and it can't be beaten for locating things like ATMs and places to stop for gas or eating somewhere you aren't familiar.
If the next car doesn't have it, we'll have to break down and get a portable unit - possibly one associated with a Palm Pilot or another...

No, paloma, I think he means they have a Chrysler Pacifica minivan.
Though I thought what you did at first too.
If Wayne lived in Pacifica, though, he'd be grousing about Devil's Slide.

Speaking of maps and yard sales. I have been grumbling about all this stuff in the house I got from my neighbor and my son has been complaining too BUT I have no need to hit g sales for awhile. Really tempting though when I drive by those signs.

"when I drive by those signs" - bite your tongue Paloma!!!
Google map was wonderful but I could have called my neighbor and caught a ride with her, as we pass her on the way to the first one. It was 25 to 30 miles away too. Good stuff but high prices (ebay prices). I got enough to make it worth our while.
Good day all the way around

Expedia.com is what I use. I don't always get accurate directions from Mapquest. Okay, now how many of you are singing the Expedia jingle right now?
