It seems that ebay has some glitch (or maybe it is intentional?) that causes some store items to fall off the search map. We have had threads here about bulk revising items or opting in/out of Express in order to force an indexing of all of your store listings. It seems that that "fix" doesn't last forever and the listings can get pretty messy with all the stuff added to the descriptions. Some of us have had our listings "ship to" information corrupted when a bulk edit is done (I think this is because an out of date listing form was used by Vendio when the items were originally listed back in 2004 but can't prove it).
A THEORY about a quicker fix and evidently one with no bad side effects is to put your store on "vacation" with a notice placed at the top of all of your listings. This "vacation" need only last a brief period of time (an hour or two for example) because it is the act of making the change that causes the re-indexing - knowing how slow ebay is to index new listings maybe it would be best to keep it on overnight.
Remember this is a THEORY only but does make sense. The good thing is that most people reported favorable results and it seems the worst that can happen is that you will see NO CHANGE. You do have to check TWO BOXES when putting your store on vacation: 1) post notice at top of store pages 2) post a notice on each of your listings. Just putting a notice on store pages alone won't work.

Thanks Neglus. It is awful that we have to resort to this kind of CR#$ in order to make a sale. It just burns me up. We shouldn't have to do things like this in order to make a sale. If we all had a "booth" in a B & M co-op, we wouldn't have to do things like this. They do the advertising and we sit in our booths awaiting buyers. We could do our own advertising but that's about it.
I don't have the time to hit every listing again and mark each one a couple of times. I sure wish ebay would get it's act together. They have a faulty product that doesn't work right in many aspects.
