A friend bought a whole bunch of Ralph Lauren t-shirts...they're quite nice and new/never been worn/still have tags. I just got one out and noticed it has 3 stains on it (probably something leaked on it in storage). I will, of course, mention the stain. But...should I list it "as is" (ie: with stain intact) and new/unworn and tags still attached OR "New/unworn but washed once to remove stain" with tags removed? Either way, I WILL mention the stain but was wondering which one would more likely appeal to potential buyers. Thanks for advice...

I would list it as New, never worn, tags removed, washed once and probably wouldn't mention the stain if you're able to completely remove it.

If it has been washed it should not be listed as NEW.

You can state in the desription that it is new but has been washed, but you had best leave it out of the title and the item specifics unless you want a neg and lose a PayPal dispute.
Ebay states that NEW should only be used if the item condition appears to be straight from the factory.

I tried to find the Help page that describes their policy but ebay help search does not appear to be working.

Once it was washed, it no longer qualifies to be new.

I would write, never worn but washed shirt.

Can you try spot cleaning the stain to see if comes off? I wonder if you do that without placing the whole garment in the wash, you could call it "New"?

That brings something to mind about a commercial for the Tide pen. Don't know if it works or not but might be worth a try? I hate that commercial as it always shows it as getting stain out and the shirt never even looks wet where they JUST treated it. LOL but you might try it. OH just one thing put a blotting cloth behind the spots that is another peeve of mine in the commercials. LOL

The Tide pen really WORKS on food stains. I love it. It does dry very quickly.

BTW all you Red Wine lovers. 20 Power Mule Team Borax takes out red wine stains. Really! I had a glass spilled on my silk outfit at a wedding reception. Soda water didn't work. I saw on the side of the package that it takes out red wine, thought it was worth a try. And I'll be darned - it worked.

OT commercials I hate - and I know they're not all across the US.

Geico and their "famous people". Does this make any sense? Although I'm sure all those old actors love them.

Sonic. Too cheap to buy closed captioning. I STILL don't know what they're talking about in those commercials! Some guy is holding his hands out measuring something??? I mean how big is it?????

TG Domino's finally got rid of those stupid "Get the door it's Domino's" advertisements. You know, the one with the doorbell that makes the dogs go crazy every time?

I would say "like new, never worn, washed once."

If the stains are there after washing, then mention them. If not, don't mention them.

If you still have the tags, I would says "with the original tags, but they are no longer attached". People buying for resale will still want the tags.
