It is the 31st. I really havent noticed a big drop off in sales on Halloween night. I guess its because its only for 3 hours and people still have time to bid.

I have had success on Halloween in the past. I figured that since people are waiting for the trick or treaters to come to the door, they are on the computer. Will that hold true this year, I think so. Now if eBay's system works like it should, is another story.

I have found sales very slow on October 31 in years past.
But now more and more communities have trick-or-treating during designated hours on the Saturday or Sunday before Oct. 31, so what to do is a toss-up either way.

You know I've heard the "designated hours" rumor since *I* was a kid (many years ago), but I've never see it really happen. It's just far too difficult to organize.
People expect the kids to be out on the 31st, not before, not after. I know you could send out notices, but not every kid and not every homeowner would get them... so you'd end up with a mishmash of kids out early, few at home... or kids out the right time, and some houses thinking it was earlier.
But most homeowners associations don't function within the world of logic, so who knows...
