I have been selling almost 9 years . Over 7 years on one account -Powerseller and all the bling every month.

This qualifies for a manifesto, sorry it is so long- but I need to start at the begginning and end at the end

Saturday,a bidder bid on an item With O feedback, register since 2002,I sent an invoice. Sunday I receive this email in its entirety-
-----
Please delete this invoice from your records, this was a mistake.
Thank you.
----
I emailed back saying I could not delete an invoice.
------
His exact reply -I did not place a bid. The mistake I made was that I hit the buttom "buy now" and all I wanted to do was to check the shipping rates

-----

Well the S/H is on the auction in two places
--
He then emailed saying this -
That he thought that hitting Buy It Now would not be considered bidding.And was NOT going to pay since my process of setting up the auction was confusing .

~~~~
When did I start "setting" up the Buy It Now button???
So I filed to mutual agree to end the transaction -since it was obvious this was a nutcase!
This AM - I awoke to email from feeBay -
The Unpaid Item dispute has been closed for the following reason:
Buyer rejected the transaction withdrawal.
As a result, you will not receive a Final Value Fee credit for this transaction.
Thank you,
eBay
WHAT IN THE HULLABALOO DOES THAT MEAN???
Well I pulled myself together and called my PS man. He explained that this was issued because the buyer said that the system was confusing and on Amazon you only bought when you hit the summit button and "that I would not delete the invoice"
The person he talk with felt the person really did not understand he was bidding and closed it.
SO , I asked well that is fine if the person he talked with was that generous with eBays money but He had no right to give my $2.40 away !
I proceeded to ask how much had this O feedback person put in the grimy paws of FeeBay this year.
He agreed , but the representative probably had no other recourse but to do this,rather than argue with someone who did not understand the process.
Well I do not understand the process when a bidder can claim ignorance and close the dispute Why didn't the Rep just tell him to agree to mutual end it??? I would then get my fees!
I then told him if stupidity can excuse his bidding then my blondness should excuse the fees! I then "kindly" told him -! want my final fees for this auction, since y'all closed the dispute.
Needless to say my final fess were granted.
He did it and I checked my account and it was credited!
I blocked the stupid button pusher.
The End
Tom, this nutcase ,he said he thought he was on Amazon. I just wanted my fees back. He flatly said , I am not paying -delete the invoice.
He registered on Feebay in 2002 and 0 feedback.
The thing that salted the wound was feebay closing it and not giving me my fees.
The one I spoke with this AM said this is done often, when a buyer seems to be totally unable to understand they bid. It is better to just close it. (AT THE SELLERS EXPENSE). He also mentioned that sellers seldom contact them since time is money.
That is their calculation they are at times "sweet" to a buyer -albeit this mutt had ZERO feedback so probably bought little or nothing.
They close it with no fees return ... win-win for eBay!
Well time is money but I took the time cuz I really do not like to be charged for a no paying ignorant button pusher
YEP it was a real waste of time considering , I could be making money.
I chose to let FeeBay know how I felt and get my fees!
I never do mutual because the buyer has to agree. I just say he did not pay. Give me back my FVF!!
Well, when you do buy it now you still have to do the final page that says oh darn can't remember but it is clear as day you do NOT click buy it now and automatically are the winner there is a page you have to agree with and hit another submit button in order to do a buy it now or even a bid. It is not a one click deal. SO this guy is a liar too, or just does not read at all.
I got my fees back by complaining to ebay too for their thinking we don't follow up so they figure keep the fees maybe no one will notice. I noticed and after 3 emails and being politely tacky about it got my fees back. go figure.
Can you still neg him? if so do it maybe he will ask for a mutual withdrawal then you can say no. LOL
Check it out
I know Irked, I purchased a Buy It Now item this morning. It certainly did not happen with one click. It takes ya to another page to summit.
I have sold for 9 years and this one is a real nut! He has zero feedback, if I neg him he would neg me back.
Ya see he claims he thought he was Amazon and clicking was just looking and then he gets an invoice for a purchase on Ebay. He then noticed he was on Ebay and did not know that he purchased.He said my auctions were set up to trick people like him who were not "knowing about eBay" ????????
Ain't that stupid?
He is truly demented ....
