ideas, suggestions about using Vendio to handle the listing and management of auctions?
We just heard from Mpire tonight that their auction management service will shut down at the end of January - 71 days from today (according to their count - I didn't get the calendar out to verify).
They say they'll focus on their "shopping" service and "researcher" service, but eliminate the reason we switched to them in June. Just now that we're used to the processes and comfortable, it's time to jump back into research mode to identify a replacement (fun!).

I have looked at Market Watch, signed on, and began setting up for business. Since it was close to the holidays, I decided to stay with Vendio, until after the first of the year, before switching over.
Many of us have had to deal with an outdated International shipping function, which is not compatible with ebay's system. Vendio seemed unconcerned with the problems this has caused us. In fact, Vendio has not even given us a time frame for bringing their system compatible with ebay.
I'm not sure if you are willing to pay, or are looking for a free ride. Remember, you get what you pay for.
Vendio seems to be having problems. Check the posts on this board and the posts on the system specific boards. You can learn a lot by reading the posts.
Perhaps things will straighten out. However, they just may not.

Save your money and take your wife out for a really nice dinner a couple times a week.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
That's not even close to being true when you're talking about AMS (auction management systems/software). If only it were.
I have anywhere between 200 to 400 auctions running at any given moment. Core and fixed price listings, that is, no Store listings. I don't use any AMS. Why do you need it?

Yup.
I use SYI 2.0. Relist City. Even when I create an auction for a new-to-me item, I start with an old one. No templates, no complicated HTML. Photo hosting is at fluffythewondercat.com and I never have to delete any of them. I still use a few photos that are five years old.
I try to list 50 auctions a day but sometimes don't make it what with real-life intrusions.
I could list probably 75-80 a day if eBay would stop deleting auctions from their database at approximately 5 months out. Right now the oldest ones available to me are from the end of June. If it's a piece of jewelry I last listed at the beginning of June, I have to create a new auction for it.
351 auctions up at the moment but that's partly due to yesterday's big push.
