LOL I had to help set up a friend of mine a BellSouth dial up account today. Her son sent her a laptop for Christmas and he has full administrative privileges and controls her laptop from his home.
I couldn't even download or install google toolbar or Firefox for her.
Bless her heart she has a 3 gig hard drive.
I told her son we can just tear our hair out when she wants to start bidding on Ebay.

I remember a time when 500 mb was a big deal! Now I have a 120 gig HD. Not that I'll ever use that amount of space. I store all my important things on a portable drive anyway.

All it takes is a family member (or more than one) who is into digital photography, or even more so, video processing. 120 GB will evaporate in no time.

He sounds like a control freak, on flip side maybe he knows she will get zapped with something and it is his way of controlling that impossibly. But I opt for control freak. He needs to provide he with the password for making changes.
