Got a message supposedly sent by Ebay. Looked real and even had the red buttom to Respond now. Asked what the cost to ship to Miami Fla. Trouble is the auction was to end Jan 24 07 and I always put the shipping amount down and the sender's ID was not registered on Ebay nor was the message in MY EBAY. And I have nothing listed to sell nor have I for a whole week. Sent to spoof @ebay.com and received back that Ebay did not send it. Why would someone try to send a phishing e-mail so outdated and think I would fall for it?

All you have to do is click the red button to find out. They usually download a keyboard logger or flag your address as active for further attacks.

I am not about to click the red button with a date for an auction that was supposed to end 3 months ago. Why would anyone? Besides I only click on red buttons from the MY Ebay page not from my e-mails.

By the way LtRay, Thanks for the reply. Guess it is an old spoof and they just got around to me. I usually just get the usual paypal ones

I was joking buyhigh. That type of sppof has been around for awhile.

They do tend to get you heart racing and cause feelings of anger and then amazement. who indeed would be dumb enough to click on the button? Unfortunately there are a few who do.....

Old spoof. Don't click the button to find out! Many spoofs link to malicious websites (trys to download spyware on your computer).

Never, ever click the button. Even if it is from ebay. Use your reply button in your e-mail. Then if it is a spoof, you will either get a bogus e-mail address or a message that says, click the button. Doing it this way will keep the viruses from opening. Clicking the button is a good as destroying your computer.

Got the same one today 4/18. They don't give up or else they just send the same ones out on a regular basis once they get an e-mail address.
