I've tried it on two separate occasions on my auctions.
It's money down a rathole.
I found that it didn't even categorize my products correctly: If I was looking at one of my book auctions, I'd expect to see other books in the Gallery. Nope. Didn't happen.
Galleries are passe now anyway. At one time they grabbed your attention; now people use free ones.
You know what I'd do to make listings memorable? You already tell a little (just a little) about yourself in your eBay Store; I'd get a caricature or a pen-and-ink drawing done and incorporate that into a logo. People often like having some idea what the seller looks like.
The other thing I would do is incorporate humor into my listings.

I still use the vendio gallery. Maybe I'll drop it sometime, but I did notice a big increase in hits as soon as I signed on.

I did use it for over a year but cancelled and really noriced no difference with or without it except that it looked nice.
I do find that when a page with a Gallery is loading it 'hesitates' (Okay so I am not a techie!) before loading fully.

Thanks for the advice fluff. I intend to follow up on your suggestions. This may just be what is needed to build my brand.
Roadsmith and otteropp, your input was also helpful. I thought I might add Vendio Gallery before the price increase. I decided not to do so.
My plans have shifted to a four or five item link gallery to cross merchandise items. isdn.com has a gallery for ebay Auctions with non-spamming coding. I have already placed a few on the about me page. And, tested within a couple of fixed price auctions.
There are major changes about to occur in my little business.
I have been busy completing arrangements to buy merchandise at wholesale from two companies that are giants in the stamp business.
One is a major supplier of stamp supplies for collectors, while the second is most likely the largest of all the U.S. stamp companies.
I will now be able to sell albums, album pages, catalogs, and a full line of stamps. The merchandising possibilities are tremendous.
For example, within the item description for the Birds Topical Stamp Collection, I plan to place a link gallery containing album pages, album binder, handbook for collecting the stamps, stamp catalog, and combination of both collection and album pages.
I planned a long time for this. This will complete my shift to a full blown stamp store. The lower priced items, under $2.00 will be in the store at Vendio. It is going to be a busy month here.
Has anyone used Yahoo or Google advertising for their Vendio store, or ebay store? How were the results?
