niel wanted me to start a separate thread on this. My son in law is doing a clinical trial on inhaled insulin. I wanted to wait until I found out what company he is actually doing it for.
As I said before he was recently (adult) diagnosed and started conventional treatment but wasn't doing well with it. He was either gaining a LOT of weight or losing a LOT of weight - within a week or two. I noticed in the paper that they were doing clinical trials in his city (birmingham AL) and he went to see them and was accepted.
He loves this new treatment and wouldn't go back to the old. He's done really well on it.
