Does anyone know of a way to remove that hazy look to old bottles? It almost looks like an iridescent or milky film left on the inside but I cannot seem to get it out with just plain old dish soap or from using the dishwasher. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks in advance.

The efferdent is a fav with old bottle diggers. When that doesn't work you can try an over night soak in 10% vinegar and water and it that doesn't work, try CLR lime remover.
If they are "dug" bottles, the haze is a chemist change in the glass that can only be restored by someone who knows what they are doing. Restoration can be expensive usually not worth it unless its a rare bottle.

What you have most likely is "sick" glass. The surface of the glass is actually etched by acids in the soil. Not much to be done short of having the glass polished/tumbled like a stone is tumbled.
I've found that dish washing detergent, water and a handful of BB's will clean up the inside of a bottle if it isn't sick. Doesn't take much effort to loosen stuck on dirt, and sure beats trying to get a bottle brush in the corners.

When I was in the antiques business there was a product call Dexter's, it worked great. Don't know where to get it or if they are still around. Been to long ago LOL
Might try to Google it or ebay??
