http://www.woot.com/

This is where they sell maybe 1 or maybe 1000 of something until the run out - then a new item goes up.

You can download Woot Snoop http://www.wootsnoop.com/ to keep up with it.

currently they have:

SanDisk Sansa M240 1GB MP3 Player w/ FM Tuner
$12.99 + $5 shipping

As a student of marketing, I still don't get why people get so het up about one indifferent item offered once per day.

I mean, my husband wanted to know what W O O T was, so I showed him the home page. Seems the daily item was still up: some older low-end digital camera you can get for less any number of other places, if you really really want an obsolete digital camera.

We both shrugged our shoulders and got on with our lives.

See, that's the thing. It's so easy to comparison-shop on the Web for standard items like home electronics.

But if anyone can explain the Woot frenzy to me, please do.

Oh wait. I just googled the daily What, er, Woot. People are buying these things on Woot to resell. Rotsa ruck with that. Hope it works for you.

"Make"? What are you talking about?

Are they really telling you what their cost of goods is, their overhead, and what their profit is?

Post a link. I'll look at it.

Yes, I'm aware a What-Off is a special event, typically of stuff they couldn't get rid of on previous days.
