This would be funny if it weren't so painful! While brushing my teeth this morning, Ken made me laugh and a tiny bit of my new toothpaste ended up in the area in the back of my mouth at the start of my throat. The resulting burning was enough to cut my breath off. Keep in mind that I immediately spit it out and didn't swallow any of it. Twenty minutes later, I still have very painful swallowing and nausea and may end up in the emergency room if it doesn't end soon. I thought I'd try Crest Nature's Expressions with citrus and mint. It's going into the trash. Anything that causes that much lasting pain, doesn't belong in anyone's mouth! Just thought I'd spread the word.

Classic - You are just too much! It is still burning almost 2 hours later. Let's see what you can do with that.

CBlev65252 look at the box if you still have it or maybe the tube. There are a lot of tooth pasts that are maid in China, some were recalled a while back and some are still on the market. Check it out !!

Slightly off topic? . . . Idly reading the toothpaste tube one evening, I noticed the warning not to swallow the toothpaste. It surprised me, because how can we avoid swallowing a little bit of it, even if we're spitting out most? It was a standard brand with fluoride, and I just wondered how many people ever would see that warning.

roadsmith - Swallowing the amount of toothpaste you do when you brush your teeth is okay. It can't be avoided. They just warn you basically about eating toothpaste. I think the warning pertains mostly to children.
I believe the recall involved Colgate and some counterfeit toothpaste products. But, I will look into it. I have heard back from P&G who did tell me they are passing on my email to their health and safety people. I do not want to experience this again so I'll toss the tube once I'm sure P&G won't need it.
