we're having trouble getting 'completed listings' on our 2 computers today... over on the left, there is (was) always a little box there to checkmark... that's disappeared, and makes us go to advanced search to do it separately.

I am still getting the Search Options panel on the left, but the Completed Auctions option is gone.
I was trying to help my husband find an auction that he saw nearly a month ago while we were on vacation. Completed Auctions apparently only go back a couple of weeks now.

We had one computer doing that, but not the others, so it isn't an account-wide problem. We fixed it by scrolling to the bottom of the screen and opting-out of eBay's little experiment.

Have you looked closely at the bottom of the screen? It wasn't easy to find, but it was an option at the bottom. To the best of my recollection, it was in small print with a link on the phrase "opt out."

We must be looking at different pages. Nowhere on mine is there a chance to opt out. (Other than turning the computer off and going out for lunch, that is.)
