I will delete the "name " after I get response Can any other place upload images I have stored with VD
I am afraid VD does see any problem with diverting people to another page.
They are trying to improve the way to get back to the auction _ I do not want my auction visitors to leave.
I do not want the Click To View period!
This is for their interest not mine.
I have my Global Preferences and they overrode my choice.

Anyway YES or NO

To get your images you can download them using SM Pro, the desktop launcher.

Auctiva cannot. Marketworks can, but very expensive.

I know you are upset, but this is the kind of thing VD will probably realize is stupid and stop.

If not, then they will probably find several people leaving.

May I suggest you start this topic on eBay on the Store Boards and we can discuss freely?

I store my images with sellers sourcebook. The transitions was very easy.

I have so many hosted here. It would be hard . I know one that can get all my photos, but it is hard to walk away, but not impossible.
I will adjust the number of listings from any site that I have to revise every listing immediately after it launches.

Life goes on , it changes, but goes on.

I am sure I am missing something here, I am not very computer literate, but I wonder why sellers store so many pictures on Vendio? I have several thousand pictures that I just store on cd's. I put them on Vendio when I need them, and then delete them until I need them again. What is the advantage to having them all stored on Vendio? It takes me very little time to upload the ones I need for a particular auction.

Amber .. no advantage, just convenient. Now my laziness is slapping me in the face.

I love VD but this is just wrong. All that should not be added to listings without consent.

With 7000 items in my store, that's a lot of images that need to be hosted someplace.

Amber: 11000 items in my vendio store and 2000 in my ebay store = 13000++ images stored at vd.

I have images stored at Godaddy for one of my other web sites and other ebay user id's. If I end up moving off vd I will use Godaddy for all of them.

What a pain to move tho.

I have about 25,000 images, and they fit on 2 cd's. I find that very easy to just upload those I want. They are mostly of craft magazines, some of which I will never find again, so there would be no point it storing them on VD. I just pop in my CD and download when I find another magazine which I have already pictured.I also have the descriptions stored on the same discs.

sellers source book lets you drag and drop. Just open your images vendio page and drag them over to the other window you have open to sellers sourcebook. Drag them over and they automatically upload. $8.00 a month. They have templates and scheduled listings. No post sale management though.

In the long run self hosting on your own domain and own site may be the best solution. It is what I did after having bad experiences with every commercial dedicated picture host from time to time. Very inexpensive and easy. If you can learn how to use an ftp program like ws_ftp it is fast and simple to bulk upload images and then link them to your listings on ebay or your own web site. godaddy is good for domain registration. I have had excellent hosting using www pair com for many years the $6 a month package wll work for most. no per image fees, no expirations, and reliable and fast hosting.

Amber: These are active items that require the images to be stored on vd.

You can use images that are stored elsewhere on vd store and ebay items but have to insert it in the text area.

I tried to open a vd image on vd and move it to godaddy via ftp and that did not work.

I believe that Chris posted on the ebay store boards that vd will make you a backup of your images and send them to you in a zip.

If you go to the eBay discussion board and then do a search for vendio, Chris' messages will pop up.

I wonder if that is for all or just for the one he was talking with
I would love to have mine
Been here since 99.I do not want to leave but do not want to feel that I am held captive by my photos.

I really do love VD but do not want that business of taking customers to another page to return.

Here is the post from ebay:

NAME,

You and I worked together on your MB issue and as discussed, it was simply an issue of deleting very small images on those pages that made it *seem* as though your usage wasn't going down.

At roughly 40k an image, you have to delete a lot of images before you start taking a bite out of 500 MB's of images on file.

Just in case there really was an issue though I downloaded a backup of your complete image hosting account, every image currently available for use in your account. Once downloaded, Windows confirms that the total number of files is 11,231, requiring 528 MB of hard drive space.
If you would like a copy of this directory in a downloadable zip file for your own records, contact the Vendio technical support system and ask for me 'Chris' and ill get it ready for you

I read that but it seemed that Chris was doing Roy a personal favor.
I may not be included in "the favor list"
I really would like to have my photos on file.
Although I have NO plan to leave.
