I have kept selling to newbies, figuring someone has to do it, but I have now had enough. Had feedback from one today, 0 feedback who bought yarn a couple of weeks ago. I carefully explained that packages from Canada to the US take at least 3 weeks to arrive at this time of year. I am exaggerating the time a bit just so that I don't keep getting "it still hasn't arrived" emails. So far it has been very successful, with no complaints. On the feedback today I got "Took a longer long to arrive than expected". Well, my husband mails my packages every day, once they are in the mail it's out of my hands. I re-sent my email telling her the time it would take, and mentioned it in my feedback that I told her 3 weeks and it arrived in 2. She did leave positive, but downgraded my stars. That used not to concern me, but with the new seach system, it has become important.
Okay, I have finished ranting, it's not a big deal, just annoying when I do everything I can to get packages out quickly!

Hi, Amber. I feel your pain. I once had a package that took almost a month to get from here to the UK because of their strike. Of course, the buyer thinks it is all your fault.
Edited to add: Go into My eBay, Preferences, Buyer Requirements, Buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them, then choose Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of 0 (this is a drop down box) or lower.

Thanks Cheryl, I hate to do it, but I have had so many problems recently, I need a "newbie break". I may accept them at a later date.

Isn't there some sort of a minimum feedback setting for listings? Seems like I saw and ignored it. My son has been stiffed twice in the last month trying to sell a brand new Nintendo DS Lite and games. We finally gave up and put it on Craigslist and sold it to someone close by in a day.

Yes, but that was after the buyer had e-mailed her asking where the package was. Not when the package shipped.

How did you reach that conclusion? There is no mention of an email from this buyer in the opening post. Read it again.

Prof - It's in the same area. Where I said "select 0", there is a drop down box with a variety of feedback scores.
