The Dealer satisfaction Rating takes into account neutrals as negatives, negatives as negatives of course, any complaints to ebay . If you fall below 95% your ability to sell is restricted.
They allow you to list a percentage of what you sell the previous week.
say you list 100 auctions worth $1000 , 20 sell
at $200. you will be restricted to 75% of the $200 the next week, which is a $150.00. If 20% of this $150.00 sells which is $30.00 then the next week you are down to $22.50 in listings.
This makes it almost impossible to get any positive feedback so you can get your DSR up.
So you can see that the dsr can kill you in only 3-4 weeks. I know because this has already happened to me in December, 07.
there are ways to fight this onslaught by Ebay.
Ebay is taking our voice away but there is still a way to have a voice.
do a search for feedback boycott and use the same defense that visa and mastercard, all banks and all corporations use to defend against their customers.

Since ebay will not protect us from the crazies out there then we sellers will either protect ourselves or perish.
Somehow we sellers have to put the fear in the buyer that if they tell lies, malign or just outright lie, on their feedback or complaints, there will be consequences. This can easily be accomplished outside of Ebay.
