Okay, it's Saturday, and our P.O. is closed. I'm playing around with printing a shipping label through PayPal. All works well, so far, but it looks as though I MUST opt for DC

Hi Adele,
It is very easy to make your shipping labels through Paypal. As far as a DC, I have it set up where is automatic and the shipping fee is not shown. You would have to Profile/Shipping Preferences to set your settings. I believe that the DC is automatic through the Paypal process where the charge is only .18 not the current .75.

Thanks for this info. Since I rarely use DC, I'll only print the labels on weekends when the P.O. is closed. Every cent counts. I have NEVER lost a media mail package, in 8 years, so for media mail I think DC is unnecessary unless the item sold for more than $50.
I have to admit it's very handy to print the labels on weekends. I guess we're never too old to learn!

Hi Adele,
Well, since I drive a gas guzzling SUV and I am not going to get rid of it any time soon, I started processing all my packages through Paypal. USPS now offers pick up at the your home as well. So I am not using the SUV unless I am selling at the Flea markets. Is your home more rural? Can you arrange for pick up? That is very easy as well by going to USPS to schedule a pick up.

We're in a very small mountain town which has no USPS home delivery. We all have to go into town daily to our mailboxes anyway, so I don't mind taking an extra 10 minutes to mail packages on weekdays. Today I'll just drop these postage-paid items in the box when I'm there.
