With all the new rules and ebay pulling auctions left and right, can I use Art Nouveau Style in my title now. I would list it under the correct category but don't want to upset the ebay police again.

Can't imagine why not. It's not a trademark; it's like Modern or Art Deco or Italian Provincial or Shabby Chic.

I'm pretty sure Art Nouveau is fine but thought we couldn't use "Shabby Chic" anymore because someone copyrighted it or some such thing.

What is "this"? Is it Art Nouveau style? If so, I can't imagine why not.

Did you check with Ebay?
It has 13,000 rules!

photosensitive - It's a lamp which I'm 95% sure is a reproduction as I found another one just like it and it looks too "new".
I guess anyone can report you for anything now and get your listing pulled. I had 2 pulled last week so I'm a bit sensitive now.

Art Nouveau Style in my title now?

The answer is NO.

Your posting implies that you have something that looks like Art Nouveau, but really isn't Art Nouveau. The rules are you must have what your title is.

Things like "it's from Florida not California" aren't allowed. This would be considered keyword spamming.

barparts - you are probably right but I don't think it's fair in this case. I'm not listing it in the antique category. It's a "look" and I'm not misrepresenting it in anyway. I guess ebay would have us all say "Lamp" for the title, start everything at 99 cents and give free shipping.

Art Nouveau is a style - technically unless you say Art Nouveau Period Lamp and it is new, that should be the only problem - I would use Vintage Art Nouveau Lamp and ditch the style, just give them the approximate age in the description.

I think Caroline has hit on the solution!

I'm not even sure it is vintage. I think it's more like 10 years old. If it was a true Art Nouveau lamp I would start it in the $100's but I'm doing this one with a BIN of $65 with best offers and I've listed it under collectibles - lamps. I'm being as honest and fair as I can so if ebay doesn't like it - so be it. I'm not going to worry about it.

Just don't use the word "style".

If it is a repro - I would use the word repro in the title. Edited to add - how many used decorative lamps are worth $65? If you are 95% sure it is a repro, you may want to adjust your opening bid unless it is absolutely adorable.

Pixiamom - It is a very attractive lamp and if I start it at $40 and take offers - I'll be offered $20. One very much like it sold for $40 a few weeks ago and that is the type price I'm looking for.
I do like the idea of putting repro in the title. I guess it's the only fair thing to do. If it doesn't sell - that's OK too. I really like the lamp.
