For some reason I lost my paypal password with Mozilla's automatic fill in password option.
The password is the same but Mozilla doesn't remember it anymore. Does anyone know how to get that back? All my others seem fine.
I like this as a security measure - not to mention that I forget my passwords all the time. After losing it this morning I did find a place on Mozilla that stores all my password and ID's. That was neat. But my paypal was blank.

Is PayPal listed as an "exception" when you click on the "exception" button? I think if you remove PayPal from the saved password list and the exception list, then you will be asked if you want to save the pw the next time you sign in at PayPal. I seem to remember my PP password being cleared as well. I just have to type the first letter of my user name and the autofill suggests the user name and once that is selected, the password automatically is filled in for as long as I have the browser open.

Thanks
I'll try that.
Am I correct in thinking that this is a safety measure?

I'd like to know too - if you don't use the keyboard to fill in your passwords (ie: by using Firefox saved passwords), are you in some way protected from keystroke trojans/hijackers?

I wouldn't call it a security measure. Anybody who has access top your computer and uses it when it is signed in under your user id can easily get all your passwords that are saved.

To improve security on shared computer (especially with children) always use a Master Password to protect your "remembered" passwords. That way, after launching Firefox/Mozilla, the first time you go to a website that requires a login you'll be prompted for the Master Password.

Thanks Agitprop, I never even noticed that feature, I don't know how I missed it, it was right in front of me all this time.

I cleared it from my saved passwords and it didn't ask me the next time I logged on. Maybe I need to shut down and re-boot?
