I have a payment from a customer in Germany that is showing as UNCLAIMED. I go into Transaction detail as instructed through a PayPal reminder email that I had an unclaimed payment and there is no way of claiming it.

I have used paypal for 8 years and this is my first UNCLAIMED payment. Anybody else have this happen? IS this something new? Anybody know how to claim my money. I have to claim my money now these folks at PayPal aka Ebay are getting goofier by the day

Do your Paypal preferences indicate you will accept payment in other currencies?

While I do not know your exact circumstances, usually "unclaimed" means that the payment was sent to a non -existant or wrong email address. Hope this is helpful.

I have the same "unclaimed" payment from Germany and no way I can see to claim it. I was planning on calling PayPal in the morning.

These may sound like silly questions but:

Is the item marked as paid n your My eBay page?

Did you log into PayPal directly or did you use an email link?

Just for the record, I would NEVER click a link in an email.

Trying logging into PayPal by clicking on the View PayPal Transaction link next to the item in your Sold Items section of your My Ebay page.

Can you see the payment when you are logged into your PayPal account?

Does the transaction look any different from there?

YUK! Looks like PayPal already knows about this problem and has not addressed it yet.

Time to give PayPal a call and complain.

I got the same email. So I am sure I will get dinged from the customer for slow delivery.

The payment is showing pending on eBay.

I agree I NEVER go to PayPal using a link from an email.

I called Paypal this morning. They said they have a known problem with this and would manually credit my account for the funds by the end of the day. If it is under $25 the customer service rep on the ohone can issuse the credit. Anything over $25 would require a Supervisor to issue the credit which is why it would take until the end of the day to credit the funds to your account.

I got a second eCheck payment that has been coded Unclaimed. I called Paypal again and they said it is a known bug and they are working to fix it. They need to submit a credit to get the funds in my account. Due to the volume of these they said the credit will take 2-3 days to hit your account. This bug does no affect all eChecks. You need to chekc each one as it clears and not rely on the Paypal email.
