Is it Spring Forward - Fall Back Tonight?
I *think* I have it right - but then again I am blonde.......
"November 1, 2008
It's that time of year again, time to "fall" back an hour as we have reached the end of daylight savings time.
Before you go to sleep tonight set your clocks back an hour. The time change officially takes effect at 2:00 am Sunday.
Check your alarm clocks, cellphones, computers and car clocks to make sure you start the time change off right."

I will find it odd to change the clocks again tonight as we did it two weeks ago!
We were on vacation for a month and had to change one hour between Munich and London and then we were in Jersey, Channel Islands two weeks ago and they changed from Daylight Savings time still at the same time as England...so we changed our watches. Now...here we are again!
It does not help that we came home in the wee hours of Wednesday morning after a very interesting ( read ....awful )flight and had to change our watches and inner clocks by another 8 hours!
Oh my...I am one confused little bunny!

It was pretty special...the holiday of a lifetime! Never to be repeated especially as during the trip we were watching TV News and wondering if we would have any money left to pay the bills when we got home!
Dare I mention that we also cruised up the Danube from Budapest to Passau, Germany for 8 days too.
I too am blonde so can appreciate that you are very special and that we blondes can sometimes forget or get mixed up but everyone forgives us our shortcomings!

We could all move to Arizona or Hawaii & then we wouldn't have to be bothered changing our clocks.
I think I'll move to Hawaii.

move to Hawaii....kiss your shipping DSRs goodbye....along with the S/H charges...
But, I guess if you moved to Hawaii you wouldn't be one of those "part-time" sellers here on eBay...
I will just sit back and relax here in my home town. I can brag that I took the wife and kid for a 4 mile hike today just outside PARIS.
unfortunately...that is PARIS, VA...

Otterop: A few years ago we took that fast boat on the Danube from Budapest to Vienna. Neat trip.

What a great trip! You will never regret going but you would have regretted not going when you had the chance. I still have a few things on my 'bucket list' to complete and going to Europe is one of them. It sounds like, except for the flight, you had a wonderful time. Good for you!

Thank you...it was an amazing trip and we will treasure the memories forever.
We had 8 flights on five different airlines so that part was interesting to say the least!
If anyone is looking for a different kind of experience I would recommend a River Cruise. The company we went with was Uniworld and we were treated like Royalty. Only 134 passengers per ship and the staff anticipated our every need. We spent a few days in Budapest ( minus luggage which British Airways had lost) on our own and then boarded the ship and spent 8 days cruising up the Danube to Slovakia, Austria and ending in Passau, Germany.
The next two weeks were attending a family reunion in England and staying in Jersey where I was partly raised.
Now it is back to normal....sigh!

Yeah - Europe switched over to Standard Time a few weeks ago (when we normally would have) - but ours just happened last night.
Got an extra hour of sleep, etc.
Now - to get used to all the darkness that throws me off for months - until we switch back again and the days start getting longer rather than shorter.
