Hi, you people are the best ever at knowing the answers to just about everything. I'm suddenly having a weird monitor happening. There's a gray smudge or ghosting after each word, sentence or symbol on each line (hope that makes sense). Also intermittent kind of flashing and jitteriness of the page going on. Honestly looks and acts like it's possessed (lol). Monitor is 2 year old 17" LCD Samsung. Any thoughts? We have AT&T Yahoo and have DSL. That may be more than you needed, but being more than a little tech challenged I haven't a clue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Believe me, I am no computer expert! But, a few months ago, our monitor was acting strangly, not a grey streak, but jumping and shaking, as is there was an earthquake. It was making me feel quite nauseated. At the bottom of my monitor, there are 4 buttons, the last one says "Auto" and below it, "select" on the actual button. I pressed it, and Voila, no more problems.

sounds silly....
but you may just have a loose monitor cable. Shut down machine and remove the montior plug from the back of the computer tower. Always good to shoot some canned air in the sockets to remove dust if any. Replug the monitor in and see if that works.
