For making the comment in response to "who comes up with these things (referring to the new rules)": Fresh out of college, no life experience, children in suits, that's my guess. LOL!
Somehow that comment was against this rule:
. . .Including profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, disruptive, or hostile comments,
interpersonal disputes, or threats of violence in a post.
How was my comment hostile or threatening? Now were not even allowed to make comments about the people who make up these idiotic rules.
Paranoia is growing at eBay headquarters.

The moderators on eBay's boards are called Pinks because the band across their board answers is pink. Pink Slapped is when a moderator emails you that they've removed your post.

Cheryl - can you tell I never go to that board??
I just noticed your last name - are you related to any Blevins in Jacksonville or Middlebury Fl?
My sister in law married a Blevins.

Cheryl, you just revealed what most people are thinking and that obviously hit a nerve.

Ebay keeps skirting around the issue. They want insurance to be absorbed by the seller without raising s/h charges. This is as plain as the nose on anyone's face. If you put the insurance charges into s/h your items will either be buried at the bottom of the list of outright deleted for excessive s/h. This is what they want but do not have the brass to come out and say it. So when someone does, they delete the post. Be careful - Big Brother is watching!!!

Don't forget that if we add insurance costs to our starting price - more money for eBay. That's one way they can get fees on the insurance. They're very, very sneaky!
ebabe - Don't know. Blevins was my married name. He died in 1999 and even after 19 years of marriage, I only knew his direct family (bros., sister).

Sneaky is an understatement. Everything they have done in the last 5 years has been to increase their bottom line. But I guess that's what businesses do.
Cheryl
Blevins isn't that common of a name so I thought I would give it a shot just in case we were related. L0L
