I love Endicia but if I am reading correctly I may have to leave.
I have to get a new PC! Mine that I use ALL the time is on its last mile.
Next weekend is free tax weekend in NC. So that is what I am going to purchase.
I checked on Enicia, com and it says it supports among all the other older operating systems it lists Vista (32 Bit)
Well, there are No 32 bits in town. All are 64 bits.
Apparently Endicia does not support 64 bit
PCs.

None of this makes much sense to moi. I know that since the memory and hard drives have grown the bits had to increase.
Why did Endicia not step up and get with the program?
After all Endicia designed most of online templetts used in online label printing. Even the one the USPS uses to verify that packages were received to mail.

Does anyone know if 64 bit PC can be used using Endicia? I am hoping it is just an oversight and the tekkys have been so busy updating they for got to add 64 bit.

AND does Vendio do the 64 bit thing?

Gracious, sorry for the whining.

Hello,

I'm not sure about the Endicia part of your question.

If you are using Vendio's online website to list, then you should be fine with a Vista machine. If you are using the Sales Manager Pro software, then some Vista users have been successful, but others have not, unfortunately. (If that is the case, let us know, as there are some workarounds that you can try.)

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan , I have been using Vista -32 bit for about 3 years ..no problem.

But the Pc is used 12 hrs a day so it is pretty much shot. I want a larger monitor also.
Also the package I am buying Friday (no tax)
has free upgrade to Window 7 --- of course I may stay with Vista cuz lots of folks are not ready for it.

Endicia says (on the website) Vista 32 bit
no mention of Vista 64>

Does Vista 64 bit PCs work for Vendio?

I am getting a bit scared.

Hello,

I you are not using Sales Manager Pro, then a Vista machine (no matter how many bits) should work fine with Vendio. If you are using Sales Manager Pro, then I cannot guarantee whether or not it will work correctly on your Vista machine (no matter how many bits).

Regards,
Nathan

All is good. I purchased the new PC ...saved almost $110 in sales taxes.
64 bit Vista with free upgrade to Windows 7 come October.
No problem with VD or Endicia.

It was much more "friendly " than my first Vista machine, which I still have but it is used almost non stop.

I loved this sans sales tax weekend (Friday -Sunday)

I know some states do not ever charge sales tax ...but ain't moving to Alaska even if I can help keep an eyeball on Russia (haha)
Oregon, Montana -- too far from by sisters.
NH and Delaware tooooo cold.

Hawaii would be nice but still too far from the rest of my family.

So I will just be happy twice a year in Carolina when we have the sales tax break weekend.
It is not on everything but on enough to make me shop until I dropped two days in a row.
