Hello All,
I am new to Vendio and need some guidance.

Has anyone imported Blackthorne into Vendio? If so, please contact me with suggestions (here or privately).

I am using Blackthorne Basic to list my eBay items and I like it OK but i want to go into other selling channels. Is Vendio the way to go?

I have the import template from Vendio and also have Excel and Access. BUT am not sure how to sync the data fields IF I WANT TO DO IT MORE THAN ONCE? to do it once in Excel just manually move the Blackthorne cells around to match the Vendio template, correct? IF i want to do it over and over is it best done in Access or still in Excel? would that not require aa script. that's where i get lost fast!

who can help me with some details on importing Blackthorne data into Vendio via Excel? examples to follow?

can the images be handled the same way? customer data, etc.?

thanks for the help,

Billy

Hello Billy,

There is really only one way to import your items into Vendio using a file. However, you may also import your active listings and the images that are associated with them into Vendio. Are most of your items currently active on eBay? If so, you may import them into Vendio by going to "Items" --> "Import Items" --> select "Import from eBay" and follow the steps on the page.

For items that are not active on eBay, you would need to use the .csv file import option. Please use Excel, as there are currently some problems with other types of .csv files. You may locate the instructions for how this works, as well as the .csv import template under "Items" --> "Import Items" --> "Import from file". (There are "Learn More" and "Download our spreadsheet template" links in this section.) Please keep in mind that the import template must be used with the same column headings (and order) that are in the Vendio provided import template. The best way to get your information into the file would be to copy the columns from the corresponding columns of the Blackthorne file and paste them into the Vendio template. You may enter the image URLs for where your images are currently stored into the image cells of the file in order to upload the images to Vendio using the .csv template process. It is not possible to import your customer data into Vendio, unfortunately.

Also, please be aware that only certain fields may be imported using the template, at this time. We are working on adding additional fields, but I don't have a specific eta available currently.

Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this. Also, while we are happy to help you here, it is the "Vendio Services" section of the message board that we monitor regularly. So if you need a reply from someone at Vendio it is best to either post your question in that section of the message boards, or to use the "Help" and "Email" links in your account to send us a message.

Regards,
Nathan
