This is a question for anyone using 'Free Shipping'.
If I offer Free Shipping, will it move me up on customers' searches? Or do I have to offer the item at $0.99 AND offer Free Shipping? What has to happen to move up on the Search?

I don't offer free shipping and it hasn't hurt my sales that I know of. Pixiamom DOES offer free shipping and swears it helps her.

I tried free shipping on one Category for about 4 month and my Shipping DSR went down.
I ran a report on the DRS's to see what category had been giving lower stars and it was the one where I offered Free shipping!
I stopped giving it and went back to normal on my Stars...

I just ran a quick search. I have a BIN ending in 9 days that was 6 listings above Neglus's that ends in 10 days (best match should have them flip-flopped). She's a TRS, I'm not. I offer free shipping, she doesn't. We're BOTH listed above a TRS auction listing that ends in an hour.
