I saw this collections company online: https://www.reliabid.com
I read an article about a seller who sold concert tickets and had to file NPB on a few b/c buyers would back out on time sensitive auctions for tickets.
I would only consider this if I sold high end items that I saw a trend of NPB. It is frustrating to have people bag on payment, only to relist it and sell it for less than the original price. I've seen this happen many times. I've also seen where you relist it and it goes for more, but that happens very seldom.

Someone here once suggested that Ebay should go ahead and charge the final bid amount to their Paypal account once auction ended, but the problem is shipping.
On some auction sites, they will charge the bid amount and then come back later and charge shipping.

On first look, HwaHea, that would be a huge boost for sellers. I just sold 8 items to one buyer. I would hate to pay Paypal for 8 separate transactions!

eBay won't push a required "Immediate Payment" process. It was a failure and I believe largely b/c you couldn't combine purchases. i tried to buy two items from a seller that had immediate payment. they offered combined shipping... but b/c of the immediate payment i had to pay full shipping for both items and then the seller had to refund part of it from one listing. too much work for this type of system.
eBay needs to find a better method of enforcing payments. the more i think about this collection agency, the more i like the idea... especially after my recent encounter with eBay that reversed the NPB strike against a bidder that never contacted me or never paid. nobody ever contacted me about it. i just discovered it. apparently, bidders can dispute the NPB strikes now and it seems to be an easy win for them.
