Straight up auction sales have failed to gain attention of bidders, so I am listing more in my store. Ebay sure has changed since I started in 1999.
Good news--finally got TRS status back, but that is subject to change with the next idiot low DSR low rating.
In the spirit of the old days on Ebay, I submit my one current 10 day auction for all to follow.
1913 Oliver No 7 "portable" typewriter with starting bid of $49.99. 21 watchers so far and no bids. It ends Sunday morning. Ebay # 150405372910
My cost $40 a few years ago. It has been banging around my storage area since then.
Packing this to ship it will be a pain, so I hope it goes above minimum bid

A similar model of your typewriter is featured on The Flying Oliver, an antique typewriter site.
Good luck with your auction!

Thanks for the good luck wishes. Up to 24 watchers now. Will one of them be brave enough to bid? Time will tell.

Anywhere from $18 to $240. Quite a range depending on location.

Just wondering why you would end something on Sunday morning. I've never tried it but doesn't seem like the best time.
Glad to hear you got your TRS status back.
Good luck on the auction.

you might want to wait until there aren't others up for sale at the same time. right now yours is more expensive, not as old and the shipping on yours is more than every other one listed currently.
there aren't THAT many up though, maybe when some of the others sell and aren't posted at the same time you'd have better luck. that or maybe try and kick up the quality of the presentation some more. everyone else is also using the scaled down eBay pics, maybe you could upload some better high rest pics to make it look like its just a better product.

Congrats drgah. Must feel nice just to get the darn thing out of the way. And getting a little extra $$ makes you feel better about tripping over it for the past few years.
Reminds me that I have a few boat anchors of my own that I need to unload.

Thanks. Got it packed yesterday. Will ship it to Spain tomorrow. Kept it under 44 pounds with some creative packing--weighed in at 43 pounds 5 ounces. I much prefer selling smaller items. Good luck with your sales.
