I have a vacation in Jamaica coming up on the 16th. I ordered a sim card from a seller in Connecticut on the 2nd of Feb. Paid immediately. A week went by and no sim card, so I emailed the seller and didn't receive a response. This morning I contacted eBay, and complained. They were able to elicit a response from the seller. Seller stated that the card was being sent from Jamaica, and would be here in 2-3 weeks. I'll be there before the card is here.
Auction stated that the item was in Connecticut.

My rant:
I recently put my eBay store in vacation mode for two weeks. No items showing in store. Check email and find I have sold two store items. Great.
I am 2500 miles away with no way to pack and ship. Luckily bidder was a lovely person who actually read the blurb about us being away and unable to ship until **/**/10 and is okay with it. BUT how was she able buy it when no items show up on site?!

Well according to eBay rep, if an item is on someone's watch list, they can still purchase it despite your store being closed!
So what is the point of putting your store on vacation if you still have to worry about purchases for items you can not ship! Not as if we can send an email to all the watchers. Very misleading bit of programming. (Yes, I know, it IS eBAy).....<sigh>...At least it worked out okay this time.....end of rant.
Thanks for listening...
