I haven't sold anything in 2 years or more, but am thinking it's time to go back out to the barn and get rid of more stuff nobody in the family wants. We're eventually going to restore the barn, it's almost 200 years old and I'd like to redo it and expand it, if grandpa's ghost will let me, but first it's gotta be cleaned out. My best sale from there was about 6 or more years ago. A pretty rare 1930's Monterey Mission Chair that went for 5750 dollars, minus the grand I spent having it correctly refinished. Off the top of my head, I'm looking at the following types of collectibles:

cowboy stuff/ western americana: old rugs, saddle blankets, horse tack including woven horsehair bridles and headstalls, chaps and miscellaneous cowboy junk. Maybe I'll find some more Indian War military stuff, haven't checked the trunks in up in the rafters yet.

barn miscellany: oil lamps, churns, buckets, an old cream separator, hand forged bale saws and hay hooks, more.

old electrics: lamps, appliances etc. from the 50's-70's

How are collectibles doing? I know, it's after Christmas, but this stuff is desirable to collectors buying for themselves I think, not so much as gifts for others. Any pointers on new rules and regs? do's and don'ts? whatever, your input is valued if any of you are still into selling old junk on FleaBay. Thanks!

Sounds like you have some neat stuff.
When we are driving from one side of Florida to the other, we will stop at garage sales on the way but some of them are way out of the way. My husband always says we won't go to another one unless we can see it or it's an old barn. Now I see why.
You should do fine.
As to changes - there are so many in the last two years it hard to think about all of them.
Just start listing and if you run across a problem we'll all be here.

Also, read the old threads to give some ideas of "new" Ebay policies.

WOW sounds like a treasure trove! Those things should do well, I only sell collectibles and have been doing O.K., not like the old eBay but not bad either. Go for it!!

When you have a big old barn and other outbuildings, and it's a long way to the dump, it's easy to just stash stuff there with the intention of getting rid of it. That's been going on here for a couple of centuries! I periodically have time to dig around out there and get rid of stuff. I told my relatives when they were all here last week to go see what they wanted. Nobody wants anything, so it's time again to make some more room. Thanks for the tips!

Be sure to include a brief story about how each item was found stored in the barn, along with an image of the barn, in each item description.

You need to call Danielle so she can send Mike and Frank from American Pickers. They love to go through "junk" in barns and outbuildings!!
On the History Channel. Their business is called Antique Archeology (not sure if that is how they spell it)

I hope everyone here is right and I am wrong but if you have not sold in 2 years I think you will be very dissapointed. Primatives are as dead as I have ever seen in nearly 30 years of selling them. Unless you have some rare items do some checking on eBay to see what your type stuff is selling for before you put to much work into it. GOOD LUCK
