Its time to get happy so here's my recipe for
RUM BALLS
1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers
2/3 cup cocoa
1 (1 lb) box confectioners sugar
2/3 cup light rum
2 cups finely chopped nuts
2/3 cup white Karo syrup
1 cup Angel coconut
Thoroughly combine all but coconut. Form into balls and roll
In coconut.
Enjoy

I tried the rum ball recipe and it was great !! So easy to make and tasted yummy. I have the feeling that the more you eat, the better they taste...Merry Christmas to All

Years ago a guy I worked with sub'ed Jack Daniels for rum those were tasty. By the time the work day ended we were pretty well buzzed.

I wanted to make another batch and went to the liquor store. When I told the manager what I was making he said Myers rum was the only one to use. So made another batch and they are tastier.

Merry Christmas to all!
Thanks Penny and Adele - Christmas will be hard this year though I usually don't go to Oregon to celebrate Christmas. Weather is just too difficult to plan around. I was there last week helping my mom pack up Jane's apartment so it can be vacated by the end of the month. My brother will be there over Christmas to move things. It was so difficult but had to be done. I got to see Jane's 16 year old son David who is now living with his father. It's so sad!
Yes, Adele, I will be by you in January - can't wait! I hope it warms up a little. We will have more time this visit - I will send you an eBay message so maybe we can set up a time to visit.
