As I was browsing I found a Seller who had a longer list of terms than his description of the item and amongst them I found the following:-
"A nominal S&H fee will be added on Best Offer purchases. This will be the actual shipping cost plus 1/2 of the eBay fees for the sale. In no event will the final total exceed the Buy-it-Now price listed."
I wonder if he can do that in the
'Rules according to eBay'
Not worth a huge discussion but I just found it interesting.

I dont see anything wrong with it,if it bothers Ebay, she could change it to a %tage which equals the FVF of the item.
I just changed my return policy to include 5% restocking fee.

I've noticed that it is sometimes hard to FIND the description.
I don't buy very much on ebay but that would be a turn off for me.
I still see sellers talking about charging insurance to the buyer - didn't we all spend days editing all of our listing to take anything to do with insurance out?? Why can some get away with still charging it and saying so in there listing.

I still see sellers stating 3-7 days return.
Ebay robot must be on vacation

I have seen sellers selling items for 250 or more and not using signature confirmation.
Thats not good.

Enforcement of the "rules" does seem to be random. I discovered a few of my items that I forgot to revise & Ebay did not "catch" them.

I thought 3 to 7 days return was ok - it just means you can't be a top seller.

no,these days, you cant even list an item with return policy less than 14 days.
it is either no return or 14 days return, see for yourself and pull that tab which said days of return

Another interesting TOS or maybe just an explanation:
NOTE: Ebay & PayPal charge the seller a combined 12% fee on shipping charges, this negatively effect the shipping cost we must charge.

But Ebay reduced FVF on the item when it starts charging FVF on shipping.

I could never understand a sellers need to explain various fees and costs to customers it is really none of there business. As a customer a long TOS is turn off.
