I got a question about shipping on a 10 day listing on July 15. I replied that I would get back with them this weekend with the answer.

When I tried to find the question today - I couldn't. I would say show all but it would only show all for the 1st page. I ended up having to go to sent messages to find the original message. However I couldn't answer it from there. Then I figured that I would have to delete as much as I could to get the question back to page 1 so I could reply to it again. Really, should it be so hard.

Ebay is so afraid that we are going to make contact and sell something without them getting their fee.

When Ebay designs this feature,it does not expect us to retain all the messages in our account, there is a feature which you can ask Ebay to delete some messages, you can look up that feature.
Just like Ebay does not expect us to set up so many Ebay Ids to buy,to sell,to browse etc.

Also if you reply promptly instead of weekend, then the message would still be on first page

I did reply promptly but didn't have the answer until the weekend. That's what caused the problem.
I just think it's ridiculous that you can't retrieve a message that is less than a week old.

I also tried to change my view to 50 email per page and it wouldn't allow that either.

yeah, i have my own beefs with eBay's new changes too.

both ebay and amazon are getting way too big and controlling of sellers, especially when they are not furnishing the product.

eventually someone will come along and knock them off their perch. it happens to every company.

Everyone thought Blockbuster and Hollywood Video would last forever. Netflix and Hulu came along and killed them off.

Best Buy killed off Circuit City... now Amazon is killing off Best Buy.

I have to say, I would love to see eBay get their teeth kicked in even if I have sold over a million on their site.

I always save all emails from buyers until the transaction is completed. You can respond multiple times to an email sent by a buyer through Ebay.

Merrie - how do you save them?

I'm starting to use the folders to save things.

My problem was I couldn't get to the "ALL" for the second page and she wasn't a buyer yet.
