I have a seller who now tells me that their restocking fee is stated in their ME profile. Their listing states Money Back Guarantee with no mention of a restocking fee.
Is this within eBay policies? I only see mention of TOS in the actual listing.
I really don't think this is accurate or should be hidden. At the very least, there should be a reference to read additional TOS in their profile which this listing does not do.

I think you have grounds to file a complaint with eBay/PP and should not have pay a restocking fee. All that info should be in the TOS. Me profile why would I want to read or write one?

that is pretty much what I told them.
there are several inconsistencies in their listings if you are comparing the TOS in the listing vs. their Me Profile. The Me Profile says they will respond within 3 hours of messages and there is a restocking fee. The listing states response in 8 hours an no mention of restocking fee.
I sent two messages regarding the partial refund. Both went ignored for days. Only after I left feedback did they get around to responding.
The irony is that they keep pointing out to me they paid the original shipping. Well, according to their TOS, the buyer pays return shipping which is exactly what I did and never mentioned it until they started whining about their shipping cost... so we both lost money on it.
I don't get the argument on their part. They are obviously in the wrong and the best way to fix it is to satisfy the customer by responding promptly, issue the refund, and correct the listings to properly reflect their REAL terms of sale. Just seems counter-intuitive to argue this after the fact.
